Monongahela Power Company and The Potomac Edison Power Company have submitted a feasibility study to the West Virginia Broadband Enhancement Council pursuant to West Virginia Code Sec. 31G-4-5. The study includes three proposed projects to construct middle-mile broadband infrastructure expansion projects in portions of Roane, Calhoun, Gilmer, Braxton, Clay, Nicholas, Webster, Randolph, Barbour, and Pocahontas counties.

The Broadband Council will consider the feasibility study and any public comments at its July 16, 2020, meeting to be held by conference call. The Council will consider comments that are submitted by email to WVBroadbandCouncil@wv.gov, and those mailed and received prior to July 16, 2020, to the West Virginia Broadband Enhancement Council, West Virginia Department of Commerce, Building 3, Suite 600, 1900 Kanawha Blvd. East, Charleston, WV 25305.  The Council is required to take final action on the feasibility study no later than August 3, 2020.
