FCC’s Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau met with West Virginia residents during its “FCC Appalachian Rural Tour”
Officials from the Federal Communications Commission’s Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau met with West Virginia residents during its “FCC Appalachian Rural Tour” December 3 and 4. The officials discussed many consumer-related telecommunication issues with citizens, particularly those which help residents guard against fraudulent activity. Bureau Chief Lyle Ishida noted during the presentations that “the real solution to fraud is education.” The FCC officials also used the tour to hear from residents and their concerns and comments about telecommunication matters.
