ARC publishes RFP for grant applications for its Fiscal Year 2019 “POWER FY19 Initiative”

The Appalachian Regional Commission has published its Request for Proposals to for grant applications for its Fiscal Year 2019 “Partnerships for Opportunity and Workforce and Economic Revitalization (POWER FY19) Initiative.”  ARC is allocating approximately $45 million for POWER FY 19 with a minimum of $15 million set aside to fund broadband deployment projects that enhance access to and the use of broadband services. Understanding that broadband deployment projects can be capital intensive, maximum grant requests for deployment projects can be up to $2.5 million, with priority given to projects with evidence of leveraged funding for the overall project.
